The Calculation of Emissions

Offsetting your emissions refers to the idea of reducing and balancing the CO2 emissions you produce in one year. The main objective is to neutralize that part of CO2 emissions that you produce by reducing them by an amount equivalent to the CO2 emissions produced by your activities. You offset your emissions through the carbon capacity capture of Las Gaviotas trees.

You have two options to offset your CO2 emissions:

  1. To choose the CO2 average produced at your region or
  2. To calculate your annual footprint through the CO2 calculator

Average of CO2 Annual Tons emmited per person by region:

Region
  Annual CO2 tonnes
Africa 0.76
Australasia 12.25
China 2.72
Eastern Europe 7.34
Asia 2.20
Japan 9.64
LatinAMerica 2.30
Middle East 3.81
North America 19.90
Russia 10.58
UK 9.51
Western Europe 8.35
